Continuing the working program in Germany and the UK (May 21-28, 2025), on May 23, the meeting from Nghe An province, led by Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, held a meeting with the Embassy of Viet Nam in Germany.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Vu Quang Minh – the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the Federal Republic of Germany and the staff of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Germany.

At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Nghe An province, while emphasizing the significance of the visit in the context of the two countries approaching the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Germany (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2025). The ambassador praised the efforts and proactive approach of Nghe An province in foreign affairs and promoting international cooperation, especially with potential partners in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Overview of the meeting

After reviewing the significant milestones in the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the Federal Republic of Germany, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh affirmed that the embassy will continue to play a bridging role, supporting Nghe An in enhancing connections, promoting the local image, and expanding cooperative relations with businesses and organizations that align with the province's strengths and development orientation.

On behalf of the working delegation, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu sincerely thanked the embassy for its thoughtful reception, especially for the active support in connecting and arranging working activities in Germany. In the context of the Vietnam-Germany relationship continuing to develop positively in various fields, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu expressed his hope that the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Federal Republic of Germany would continue to accompany and support Nghe An province in connecting with suitable partners.

Specifically, the province proposed that the Embassy consider and introduce localities with many similarities to promote friendly and economic cooperation; at the same time, act as a bridge with large German enterprises in the fields that the province is prioritizing to call for investment such as: high-tech agriculture, supporting industry, mechanical engineering, agricultural processing, tourism and education and training.

This working trip to Europe is one of the important foreign affairs activities of Nghe An province in 2025, aiming to promote exchange and cooperation activities with European partners, especially the Federal Republic of Germany, while strengthening economic diplomacy and attracting investment to Nghe An.
