In December 2024, branches and levels will focus on directing the completion of targets and tasks for 2024; Prepare contents to serve the 25th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council taking place from December 5-6, 2024; focus on directing the summary of 2024 and implementing the 2025 plan.

The growth rate of gross product in the province (GRDP) in 2024 is projected at 9.01%, ranking 13th in the country; Of which, the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector is projected to raise by 4.14%; The industrial - construction sector is projected to raise by 13.61% (only industry up to 15.82%); Service sector is projected to increase by 7.88%; Taxes less subsidies on products is projected to up by 8.08%.

In the agricultural sector, in December 2024, localities shall mainly focus on producing the Winter and Spring crops of 2024. The total planted area as of December 15, 2024 is projected to reach 35,463.08 hectares, reaching 102,000 hectares. 29% of the plan; 179.63 hectares of rice; 110 hectares of corn and 174 hectares of peanuts of Spring crop of 2025.

Animal husbandry in the province continues to stabilize and develop. As of December 2024, the total number of buffaloes is projected at 248,177, a decrease of 3.12%; the total number of cattle is projected at 549,847, an increase of 3.05%; the total number of pigs is projected at 1,031,833, an increase of 3.34%; the total number of poultry is projected at 37,066 thousand, an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year. 

Currently, the situation of African swine fever is still complicated. The PPC has issued many documents directing localities to organize and implement vigorous and synchronized measures to effectively prevent and control the disease in order to timely and effectively stop the African swine fever outbreak, minimize losses, and restore production.

Regarding building new-style rural areas: It is compared that by the end of 2024, the whole province shall have 327 out of 411 communes meeting the standards of new-style rural areas (recognized by the PPC), achieving 79.56% of the total number of communes; 127 out of 327 communes meeting advanced new-style rural area standards, accounting for 38.83%; 25 out of 327 communes recognizing exemplary new-style rural area standards, accounting for 7.62%; The average number of criteria met by the communes is 17.21/17.21 criteria/commune. There are 11 district-level units that have completed their tasks and achieved new-style rural area standards.

The industrial production index (IIP) for December 2024 is projected to increase by 14% compared to the same period in 2023. For the entire year, the IIP is projected to increase by 15%; of which the mining sector is estimated to increase by 8%, and the processing and manufacturing sector is projected to increase by 16% compared to the same period last year.

The total retail sales of goods in December 2024 are estimated to reach 10.5 trillion VND, up 24% compared to the same period in 2023; the accumulated total for the year is projected to reach 107 trillion VND, an increase of 12.5% compared to 2023.

In December 2024, the export turnover of goods is estimated to reach 285 million USD, up to 30.13% compared to the same period lats year; the import turnover of goods is estimated to be 142.4 million USD, equivalent to 78.45% of the same period. For the entire year, the export turnover of goods is estimated to reach 3.215 billion USD, rasing 31.57% compared to lats year; the import turnover in the province is estimated to reach 2.493 billion USD, rasing 75% compared to lats year.

In 2024, Budget revenue in 2024 is projected at 24,797 billion VND, reaching 155.9% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increasing by 15.3% compared to 2023. Of this, domestic revenue is projected at 23,000 billion VND, reaching 158.3% of the estimate and increasing by 14.6% compared to 2023; revenue from export and import activities is projected at 1,699 billion VND, equal to 130.8% of the estimate and increasing by 33% compared to 2023. 

The Provincial People's Committee continues to focus on directing and urging to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in 2024. As of December 20, 2024, the total public investment plan has disbursed 7,547,691 billion VND, reaching 73 billion VND, reaching 35% (if not counting 363.308 billion VND newly assigned in Decision No. 1306/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2024 of the Prime Minister, disbursement reached 75.22%, higher than the same period in 2023 at 73.06%).

The national targeted program has disbursed 269,571 billion VND, reaching 49.29%. Among them: the national targeted program for building new-style rural areas disbursed 12,115 billion VND, reaching 8.93%; the national targeted program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas disbursed 151,754 billion VND, reaching 67.99%; the national targeted program for sustainable poverty reduction disbursed 105,702 billion VND, reaching 56.21%.

Regarding attracting investment, as of December 23, 2024, the entire province has approved investment policies/issued Investment Registration Certificates for 01 project with a total investment amount of 79.1 million USD, and adjusted 06 projects, including capital adjustments for 01 project with a total investment increase of 25.15 billion VND. The total new and additional investment capital is 1,864.23 billion VND.

Cumulative in 2024 (as of December 23, 2024), the entire province has newly granted (approved investment policies/issued investment certificate) to 82 projects with a total registered investment capital of 38,731.4 billion VND. Adjusted 167 projects, of which 42 projects were adjusted, with total investment capital increased by 22,756.7 billion VND. The total new and adjusted capital is 61,488.1 billion VND, 1.12 times higher than the same period last year. Among them, FDI investment: New approvals for 16 projects with total registered investment capital of 770.6 million USD (accounting for 19.5% of the number of projects and 49.4% of total investment capital), adjusted capital for 14 projects with total investment capital increased by 877.8 million USD. The total investment capital and new approvals as of December 23, 2024, is 1,648.4 million USD.

Foreign affairs work continues to be implemented effectively with many prominent, comprehensive activities in various sectors.
