The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: In the flow of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, Nghe An province and Bolikhamxay province have a traditional relationship, closely attached to each other for many decades and increasingly strong. Every year, the Party Committees, Governments and People of the two provinces regularly visit relatives, exchange and share work experiences; coordinate and help each other in socio-economic development, maintain national defense and security, especially in keeping the border between the two provinces peaceful, etc. The visit and exchange of experiences in People's Council activities in Nghe An province by the delegation of Bo Ly Kham Xay provincial People's Council Standing Committee is a vivid demonstration and continues to strengthen the good relationship between the two localities.

The Provincial Party Secretary said: This August, a high-level meeting will take place between the high-level delegation of Nghe An province and the high-level delegation of Bolikhamxay province, and at the same time, decisions will be announced to allow people, road vehicles and goods from the two provinces of Nghe An - Bolikhamxay to pass through Thanh Thuy - Nam On border gate. This is an important event opening up new economic development space for the two provinces. Along with that, in the coming time, the two provinces will continue to propose the two Governments and two States to speed up the construction progress of the Ha Noi - Vientiane expressway.

During the working trip of the Bolikhamxay Provincial People's Council Delegation, Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Council Chairman Thai Thanh Quy informed about some basic features of Nghe An province as well as the activities of the Provincial People's Council. Since the beginning of the 2021-2026 tenure, the Provincial People's Council has organized 21 Provincial People's Council meetings (including 14 thematic meetings), issued 366 resolutions to promptly and effectively respond to the leadership, direction, and implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security of the province. In the 2021 - 2026 tenure, the People's Council of Nghe An province has focused on innovating its organizational structure and operations, contributing to increasingly improving the quality of the Provincial People's Council's operations.

Along with the activities of the Provincial People's Council, the National Assembly Deputies’ Delegation of Nghe An province also operated actively and effectively, making important contributions to the overall success of the National Assembly and promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
