Investment Pham Hong Quang said that the growth rate of gross regional domestic
product (GRDP) in the third quarter had positive changes and was higher than in
the first and second quarters; the expected GRDP growth rate in the first 9
months of 2024 in the province is about 7.5 to 8 percent,
with GRDP growth in the
third quarter estimated at about 8.5 percent.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the entire province will deploy the task
of socio-economic development in the context of the world situation continuing
to be complicated and unpredictable; Political fluctuations and military conflicts
continue to escalate in some countries and regions; Global economic growth
recovers slowly and lacks stability; Domestically, the economy has recovered
clearly but there are still many difficulties and challenges, especially the
severe impact of natural disasters, storms and floods. In
that context, the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and
government, the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the
unanimous support and great efforts of the business community and people in the
province, In general, the socio-economic situation in the province continues to
grow.

The growth rate of the province's gross regional domestic product
(GRDP) in the third quarter showed positive changes and was higher than that in
the first and second quarters. According to estimated data, the expected
9-month GRDP growth rate in the province is about 7.5-8% (of which, the
agricultural sector is estimated to increase by 4-4.2%, the industrial -
construction sector is estimated to increase by 4-4.2%, Construction rose by 12.5-13.5%,
service sector rose by 5.8-6.2%, product taxes minus product
subsidies are estimated to increase by 6.7-7.2%); GRDP growth in the third
quarter alone is estimated to reach about 8.5%.
Regarding agriculture, the total area of annual crop cultivation in 9
months is estimated at 264,821.45 hectares, equal to 99.63% over the same period
last year, of which the Winter-Spring crop in the whole province reached
184,989.53 hectares, equal to 99.88 %; The Summer-Autumn crop reached 79,831.92
hectares, equal to 99.07%.
The index of industrial production (IIP) in September 2024 is estimated
to increase by 12.4% over the same period. In the first 9 months, the IIP is
estimated to increase by 10.64%; of which, the mining industry rose by 5.98%, the
processing and manufacturing industry rose by 9.97%, the
water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry rose by 7.03%; the
production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air
conditioning rose by 18.56% over the same period. In the first
9 months of the year, many industrial products had good growth.
Total retail sales of goods in 9 months is estimated to reach 83,523
billion VND, up 22.25% against the same period last
year,
reaching 89.81% of the plan. Total merchandise export turnover is estimated at
2,326 million USD, up 32.01% over the same period, reaching 84.58% of the plan.
Total import turnover of goods is estimated at 1,690 million USD, up 73.51% over the
same period, reaching 112.67% of the plan.
It is estimated that in the first 9 months of the year, the number of
tourists reached 8.43 million, up 15% over the same period, of which
the number of overnight visitors will reach 5.32 million, up 14%; international
visitors reached 84,200, up 58% over the same period last
year;
total revenue from tourists is estimated at 26,244 billion VND , of which tourism revenue is estimated at 10,217
billion VND.
State budget
revenue in the area in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated to reach 16,671
billion VND, reaching 104.8% of the estimate, equal to 143.2% of the same
period last year. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated
to reach 15,462 billion VND, reaching 106.4% of the estimate and equal to
142.8% of the same period last year; Revenue
from import-export activities is estimated to be 1,199 billion VND, reaching
92.2% of the estimate, equal to 151.5% of the same period. Local budget
spending in 9 months is estimated to be 24,188 billion VND, reaching 66.9% of
the estimate.
Investment attraction activities have achieved positive results. As of
September 23, 2024, the province has granted new licenses to 02 projects with a
total investment capital of 96.34 billion VND; adjusted 07 projects, of which
02 projects adjusted capital to rise by 7,191
billion VND. In the first 9 months of 2024, the whole province has newly
granted (approved investment policy/issued investment registration
certificates) to 58 projects with a total registered investment capital of
18,739.2 billion VND, lower than the same period last year. Adjusted 119
projects, including adjusting the total investment capital of 30 projects with
a total investment increase of 16,802.1 billion VND. The total newly granted
and adjusted capital is 35,541.3 billion VND, equal to 85.02% of the same last
year.
As of September 22, 2024, there were 1,533 newly established
enterprises, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period last
year
with a total registered capital of 17,306 billion VND, raising 29.69%. There
were 625 enterprises resuming operations, equal to 84.5% over the same period.
As of September 20, 2024, the total public investment plan has disbursed
5,022 billion VND, reaching 54.14%; Of which, centralized public investment
capital managed by the province has disbursed 2,322,009 billion VND, reaching
48.09%. There are 8 districts, cities and towns and 16 investor units (outside
the district) that have achieved good disbursement (over 60%).
Culture and society achieved many positive results. Defense, security
and social order and safety are guaranteed. Foreign affairs were deployed
synchronously with many outstanding activities. Administrative reform and
digital transformation were focused and directed and had many outstanding results.
