Nghe An connects with Singaporean enterprises to cooperate in production of animal feed using green technology

The Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province has connected with Singaporean enterprises to cooperate in production of animal feed using green technology.

On May 30 and 31, the delegation of Frass Pte Ltd from Singapore had a meeting with the leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province to learn about the reality and discuss plans to implement cooperation, research and investment in producing animal feed from agricultural waste using green technology.

From March 2024, the Centre for Applying Progress of Science and Technology (Department of Science and Technology) has connected with Frass Pte Ltd from Singapore on cooperation in research and investment in animal feed production from agricultural waste using green technology.

Environmentally friendly food processing technology, using enzymes to ferment and mix ingredients according to a formula suitable for each type of farming. Production technology does not use equipment that generates heat during processing such as dryers, boilers, etc.

Therefore, animal feed products ensure nutritional value and lower cost than traditional feed, but also contribute to minimizing environmental pollution and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The project has been invested in and implemented by international organizations such as: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UK Space Agency, European Union, Innovate UK.

Currently, Frass Pte Ltd has deployed operations in Indonesia and Cambodia. The company would like Viet Nam to be the next possible partner to implement the project.

Nghe An is a province that develops agriculture and fisheries. The by-products in the industry can be utilized to produce very diverse animal feed in large quantities. The utilization of waste products and by-products of the agriculture (agriculture, fisheries, forestry); by-products from rice, corn and cassava, etc., will proactively source raw materials for animal feed and aim for export.

To implement the project in Nghe An, representatives of company discussed plans directly with leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and conducted field surveys at a number of breeding locations and raw material areas in the province to implement the cooperation plan between the two parties.
