On the morning of May 19, at WHA Industrial Zone – Nghe An, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Tan Viet Metal Science and Technology Factory took place.

The ceremony includes: Mr. Do Thang Hai - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Bui The Duy - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were: Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Tien Tri - Member of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Management Board of Southeast Economic Zone; leaders of relevant departments and branches, leaders of Nghi Loc district People's Committee.

On the investor side, there was Mr. Ngo Ky Quan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of YongJin Metal Science and Technology Company.

Tan Viet Metal Science and Technology Factory of Tan Viet Metal Science and Technology Co., Ltd. invested by YongJin Corporation in WHA Industrial Zone - Nghe An. It will specialize in the production of high-quality, precision cold-rolled steel. A production line of high-quality stainless steel beeg 300 2B with an output of 180,000 tons per annum and one production line of high-quality stainless steel with surface 300, 400 BA output of 80,000 tons per annum, with developed technology and high standard factory, modern production system with full supporting facilities, advanced equipment and lean management.

The project has the total area of about 12.6 ha, with investment of 125 million USD, employing about 300 high-quality workers. The project was granted an investment registration certificate by the Management Board of Southeast Economic Zone on November 8, 2022. The project is expected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2024.

The project started today is the second investment point of YongJin Metal Science and Technology Company in Vietnam.

The representative of Baoling Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd - the unit coordinating the construction of the project says that it will work closely with YongJin Corporation to successfully build the cold-rolled stainless steel factory in Nghe An.

Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination, efforts and trust of Yongjin Metal Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd when choosing to invest in Nghe An.

He believes that when the project becomes operational it will play an important role in serving the development of supporting industries and boost budget revenue (It is expected that when the project is put into operation every year, it will pay about 1,000 billion VND to the provincial budget). It will also create employment opportunities, improve the living standards and incomes of local residents, and promote sustainable export-oriented growth in Nghe An province and the north-central region.

Recognizing and congratulating the efforts and results achieved in the process of deploying the WHA Industrial Zone projects and attracting investment of WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC in the WHA Industrial Zone in the past time, the Chairman Nguyen Duc Trung suggested that the Company continue to support investors in the process of project deployment in WHA Industrial zone – Nghe An. At the same time, focus on completing and synchronizing technical infrastructure, enhance the image of Nghe An province's investment environment in order to attract investors and producer in the high technology and large-scale supporting industries.

He also expressed his trust that Hop Luc Construction JSC – the construction contractor, with its prestige, ability and experience, will organize the construction of the project to ensure quality, meet progress as required, completed to the project become operational in the second quarter of 2024.

“This is one of the key projects in attracting investment of the province. In the coming time, Nghe An province commits to continue to stand side by side, accompany and create all the most favorable conditions in policies, investment and business environment and related procedures during project implementation" - the Chairman emphasized.

In order to successfully deployment the project, the PPC Chairman assigned relevant departments, branches and functional units to actively coordinate and timely support to solve difficulties, problems, recommendations and proposals of the Investors during the construction and operation of the Project in Nghe An province.

He also suggested the Investor to use modern equipment and apply advanced technology to ensure environmental safety; proactively propose and closely coordinate with the Management Board of Southeast Economic Zone, Nghi Loc district and related departments and branches to implement the project in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality, schedule, occupational safety and environmental sanitation.
