On the morning of March 24, the delegation of enterprises from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the North Central - Central Coast, the Northern Midlands and Mountains and the Red River Delta came to survey VSIP and WHA Industrial Zone.

The delegation visited and surveyed the VSIP. Currently, VSIP has 38 investors with 39 projects with a total area of 229.49ha/263.23ha of land (87% filled) (there are 19 FDI investors including: 10 Taiwanese - Hong Kong - Chinese investors, 3 Singaporean investors, 2 Korean investors and 1 Swedish investor). Rate of investment enterprises: 13% in electricity and electronics; 13% in building materials; 11% in apparel and accessories; 8% in factory for rent; 8% in logistics service; 5% in mechanical precision; 5% in industrial components and machines, 5% in furniture, 3% in auto parts, 29% in other industries including production of biomass pellets, industrial gases, chemicals, packaging, food, etc.

In terms of total investment capital, there are currently 930.5 million USD registered for investment (743.6 million USD of secondary investors and 186.9 million USD of VSIP Nghe An). The total number of workers expected to be employed is 40,000 - 45,000 workers (Currently 23 investors have been put into operation and are employing 14,000 local workers). The export value reached 9,128 billion VND in 2022, of which the electronics industry reached 91%. Currently, 4 investors are building their factories, which are expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2023.

 Then, the delegation visited and surveyed at WHA Industrial Zone. WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An is located in a strategic location, suitable for the needs of investors. Phase 1 (145 ha) with an occupancy rate of nearly 80%, includes the largest electronics manufacturing FDI company in Nghe An. So far, WHA realizes that the needs of customers are increasing and is promoting the development of phase 2 (355 Ha) to meet the needs of customers. When fully completed, WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An will have a total area of 2,100 hectares.
