On the afternoon of March 6, the Provincial People's Committee (had a working session with the Survey Team of Pacific Construction Group (China) to introduce, discuss and promote cooperation in investment, construction, operation, planning and development of urban infrastructure and the possibility of expanding investment cooperation in other potential fields.

Attending the working session on the provincial side were comrades: Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC); Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the PPC; Leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

On the side of Pacific Construction Group, there were: Mr. Yan Jie He - Founder of Pacific Construction Group, Sushang Group, President of ZhuangYan Research Institute; Ms. Ngo Tinh - General Director of Pacific Construction Group, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Tham Lam International Company and leaders of companies under the Group.

Overview of the meeting

Expressing his pleasure to welcome Pacific Construction Group to visit and survey Nghe An province, this is the first time the Group has visited the province, Vice Chairman of the PPC Bui Thanh An introduced some basic information of Nghe An province on the socio-economic situation and some results of cooperation with China.

Currently, the province has 60 projects from the Chinese market (including mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) with a total registered investment capital of 3.875 billion USD. Investment areas include: Production of electronic components; optical lenses; packaging and plastic products; garment; food processing. These projects have positive impacts on the socio-economic development of the province, contributing to budget revenue, creating jobs, and promoting exports.

For many years, China has been Nghe An's largest trading partner. Nghe An's total export turnover to China accounts for 1/6 of the province's total export turnover. In 2024, Nghe An's export turnover to China will reach 547.3 million USD, with main export items: Wood chips, cassava and cassava products, aquatic products, textiles, garments, white marble blocks, etc.; Import turnover in 2024 will reach 695.8 million USD, of which main import items: Machinery and equipment, electronic components, chemicals, production materials, etc.

Currently, Nghe An province has fully prepared conditions to ensure attracting foreign investment, including Chinese investors.

It is known that Pacific Construction Group has great strengths in the field of infrastructure investment. On this occasion, the province wishes and proposes that the Group pay attention to researching and investing in the development of transport infrastructure in Nghe An province; supporting planning research for 03 dynamic urban areas: Vinh expanded urban area, Do Luong urban area and Dien Chau urban area, etc.

In addition, with the influence and reputation of the Group, the province hopes that the Group will connect and introduce capable Chinese corporations and enterprises to learn about investment in Nghe An province's industrial parks. Nghe An province commits to always accompany and create favorable conditions for Pacific Construction Group to invest successfully, sustainably and long-term in Nghe An.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Yan Jie He - Founder of Pacific Construction Group, Sushang Group, President of ZhuangYan Research Institute said that this was the first time the Group visited Nghe An province, the hometown of the great leader of Viet Nam - President Ho Chi Minh with the viewpoint of making friends first, working later. He also discussed the motto when investing in Nghe An, which is to work for Nghe An people, be responsible for Nghe An with the spirit of wanting to work, daring to work, knowing how to work and successfully doing everything. He added that in China, whenever there is a difficult task, local authorities always think of and seek help from the Group. Therefore, no matter what the Group does, it always upholds its reputation.

The founder of Pacific Construction Group, Sushang Group, President of ZhuangYan Research Institute said that he has faith in the development of Viet Nam and Nghe An. Viet Nam has advantages in development, especially in developing the marine economy, so double-digit growth in the coming time is completely achievable.

Speaking at the meeting, the PPC Chairman Le Hong Vinh expressed his joy at the beginning of the month and the beginning of the new year to welcome the Pacific Construction Group - a large corporation to visit and work in Nghe An, and especially the direct presence of Mr. Yan Jie He - Founder of the Pacific Construction Group, Sushang Group, President of ZhuangYan Research Institute, which shows respect and goodwill in investment cooperation, bringing confidence in good cooperation in the future.

The PPC Chairman Le Hong Vinh expressed his impression of the remarkable development of the Group and of Mr. Yan Jie He personally. The PPC Chairman wished him and his delegation all the best and continued to lead the two Corporations and ZhuangYan Research Institute to further development.

The PPC Chairman believed that with what he shared in today's meeting and with the Group's position during 30 years of construction and development, there will be good investment cooperation in Nghe An province. The province always wants to open up to attract investment, take advantage of policy and mechanism resources to attract investment, so it hopes that the Group will research to be able to implement investment projects in Nghe An.

The PPC Chairman added that during this time, Viet Nam is restructuring its apparatus, so infrastructure investment and urban development are very necessary. He hoped that the Group would coordinate with the provincial departments and branches to research and select projects that can be implemented as soon as possible.

The PPC Chairman Le Hong Vinh also shared some information about some projects being implemented in the area, investment attraction orientation so that Mr. Yan Jie He and members of the delegation could better understand Nghe An during their first visit to the province.

At the end of the meeting, the provincial leaders wished the Group's business trip many results; wished the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Viet Nam and China in general and Nghe An province with partners, especially with Chinese investors in particular, to increasingly develop substantially and effectively.
