The world's largest electronic equipment manufacturer, the top partner of Apple has decided to invest in a project with the total capital of 100 million USD in WHA Industrial Zone - Nghe An.

The Management Board of Southeast Economic Zone has just granted Investment registration certificate to investor Foxconn Interconnect Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Foxconn Technology Group) to deploy the project of Fu Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd (Nghe An).

Accordingly, Foxconn will invest in a project at WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An on an area of about 48 hectares. The total investment capital of the project is 100 million USD. The company manufactures wireless headphones, connecting wires, wireless chargers, speakers, and connectors.

According to the Investment Registration Certificate, from June 2023 to June 2024, Foxconn will complete the construction of the factory and ancillary works of the project. From July 2024 to October 2024, Foxconn will import equipment and operate it for testing and technical adjustment.

By November 2024, the factory will officially go into production with a design capacity of nearly 400 million connection wires/year; more than 94 million wireless chargers/year; nearly 10 million wireless headphones/year; more than 244 million speakers/year and over 627 million connectors/year.

Foxconn is a multinational corporation established in 1974, headquartered in Taiwan (China). After years of development, until today, Foxconn has become the largest electronics manufacturer in the world, and is Apple's leading manufacturing partner company.

Foxconn's main job is to assemble and manufacture electronic products for big companies in the US, Canada, China, etc. Among the manufactured products, the most prominent are Iphone, Ipad, iPod (Apple), Kindle (Amazon), and PlayStation (Sony), etc. In 2018, Foxconn produced more than half of all mobile phones worldwide.

Besides assembling and manufacturing electronic products, Foxconn also provides many technology solutions and research in areas such as AI, electronic health, and devices running on 5G and 6G platforms, etc.

In Vietnam, Foxconn has invested in building a series of factories such as: Fukang Technology, Fuyu (Bac Giang) and Competition Team Technology Vietnam (Quang Ninh), to produce home electronics.

Besides, this group also participates in industrial park infrastructure development with projects such as Van Trung Industrial Park (Bac Giang) and Binh Xuyen 2 Industrial Park (Vinh Phuc).
