On the morning of February 17, the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) had a meeting with the partner of Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd. to explore the investment environment in Nghe An province.

Receiving and working with the partner of Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd. on the Nghe An province side, there were Mr. Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the PPC; leaders of departments, agencies and branches; representatives of companies investing in construction and infrastructure business of industrial parks in the province: WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC, VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd., Hoang Thinh Dat JSC, and representative of Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Overview of the meeting

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Bui Thanh An – The PPC Vice Chairman said that Nghe An is located in a strategic position, likened to a miniature Vietnam, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh. In recent years, with the attention of the Central Government, Nghe An has been issued a separate resolution on socio-economic development by the Politburo.

Nghe An province currently has 05 industrial zones: VSIP I, II; WHA and Hoang Mai I, II which have been and are being invested by well-known, qualified and experienced infrastructure investors in the field of industrial zone infrastructure business. With a large, modern scale, synchronous infrastructure, convenient transportation by road, sea and air, along with the highest incentives of the Government, these industrial zones will fully meet the requirements of foreign investors who come to explore and invest in production and business projects.

By the end of 2024, the North-South expressway project running through Nghe An province will be completed; Cua Lo international deep-water port is started construction in early 2023, put into exploitation and operation by the end of 2025; Vinh international airport is invested to upgrade and expand to establish a number of domestic and international routes (to Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, etc.) and invest in more freight terminals. The infrastructure system and social services in the province are attracted to diversified and increasingly complete development investment, the education system of Nghe An province is also an attractive point for investors. Nghe An province has been making efforts to innovate and reform to become a favorable, safe and reliable investment environment for investors and enterprises.
