Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam

On the afternoon of February 20, Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with the Delegation of Indian Embassy led by Mr. Sandeep Arya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam as Head of the Delegation for social greetings. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Department of Foreign Affairs.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy pleased to welcome the Indian Embassy delegation when knowing that Nghe An is one of the first localities visited by Mr. Sandeep Arya during his working term in Vietnam. Mr. Thai Thanh Quy emphasized that the relationship between Vietnam and India has been built for a long time, especially over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. This relationship is maintained and developed better and better, becoming the growing comprehensive strategic partnership.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that: In the current period, Nghe An is focusing on completing infrastructure for socio-economic development. Nghe An has all kinds of traffic to connect the economic - political centers of the country. It is very convenient for socio-economic development. Infrastructure of industrial and economic zones is invested synchronously and enjoys preferential policies of the Government. In addition, educational, financial and banking institutions, services, etc. are relatively diversified to meet people's needs.

The province currently has 6 Indian FDI projects that have been granted investment registration certificates with a total capital of nearly 39 million USD, mainly processing paving stones and wood. The Secretary said that in March 2022, the Indian Embassy co-ordinated with Nghe An province and Haryana state to organize an Online conference to explore investment and trade opportunities between the two localities. Nghe An province's delegation is expected to visit Haryana state to promote cooperation between the two localities in 2023. He expressed his desire to receive the Ambassador's attention and support for this visit.

The Secretary also wished and suggested that during his tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, Mr. Sandeep Arya will be a bridge to connect major enterprises and investors to explore, research and invest in Nghe An on the strength fields of India.

Mr. Thai Thanh Quy also added that this afternoon, the Standing Board of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 14 new Ambassadors in Vietnam. He believes that the cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nghe An province will be very effective in the coming time.

Mr. Sandeep Arya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam would like to thank the warm welcome of the leaders of Nghe An province and glad to hear about the development orientation and priorities of Nghe An in the coming time. He also expressed his pleasure when the online meeting between Nghe An province and Haryana state is concretized by the visit in the near future. He presented that Haryana is a locality with strengths in agricultural development and dairy processing, automotive technology, information technology and banking and finance, and has convenient traffic. Mr. Sandeep Arya will connect with the Government of India to make the visit of Nghe An province most convenient and effective.

The Ambassador emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh once said that the relationship between Vietnam and India is an eternal brotherly relationship, and in order to maintain and promote this relationship. To maintain and promote this relationship, it is necessary to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. The projects that Indian enterprises and organizations are implementing in the province are one of the symbols connecting Vietnamese young generation and Indian young generation, thereby continuing to build the friendship between the two countries.
