According to data from the Management Board of Southeast Economic Zone, in the past two years, Nghe An has attracted a number of large FDI projects in the field of industrial production and electronic components. Nghe An has the potential to become one of the electronic industry centers of the country.

Specifically, from 2021 up to now, Nghe An has attracted 4 FDI projects in the field of manufacturing electronic components, with a total capital of 1.23 billion USD in VSIP Nghe An 1, Nam Cam, WHA Industrial Zone 1 Nghe An and Hoang Mai 1 industrial parks.

In particular, Luxshare ICT's electronic component production project in VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial Park has the largest scale when the design capacity of 74 million products, equivalent to a production value of 3,440 billion VND, has started and will officially go into production from March 2024, significantly contributing to the budget and creating jobs for 14,000 workers. The Goertek Vina project specializes in manufacturing electronic products, network equipment and multimedia audio products in WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An with an investment capital of 100 million USD in phase 1, then increased 400 million USD more.

In addition, it is also worth mentioning that the project of manufacturing electronic product components and auto parts of Taiwan's JuTeng Group (Chu Thong) in Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park has a total investment of nearly 200 million USD, equivalent to nearly 200 million USD, equivalent to 4,602 billion VND. In addition, there is the Everwin Project of Everwin Precision Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., which specializes in manufacturing electronic components, communication equipment and civil electronic products in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park 1, with a total investment about 400 million USD, of which phase 1 is 200 million USD, designed capacity of 270 million products/year.

In addition to the four major projects mentioned above, most recently, a group that is a partner of Goertek Vina, a leading Chinese manufacturer of electronic components, has researched and surveyed the investment environment in Nghe An. At the meeting, with the connection of VSIP infrastructure investor and especially Goertek Vina Company, an investment partner in Nghe An, the prospect of success is great. If successful, right this year, Nghe An will attract another investment project with a total capital of 500 million USD and lease 20 hectares of land. This is a large technology group, specializing in providing important electronic components for smart technology, especially telecommunications equipment, precision metals, led technology and connectivity solutions.
