On the afternoon of March 30, in Hung Yen province, Nghe An Provincial Standing Party Committee and Hung Yen Provincial Standing Party Committee held a conference to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two provinces.

Important milestone in the cooperation between Nghe An and Hung Yen

Although Hung Yen and Nghe An provinces are different in terms of geographical location, natural conditions, population and society, they also have similar historical, traditional and cultural characteristics, sharing a common link in the tradition of revolutionary struggle; academic tradition, famous studious.

Hung Yen is famous for the busy and bustling Pho Hien ancient town of the land from ancient times, so far many heritages are preserved; Nghe An is known as the land with rich cultural sediments of Nghe region. Hung Yen is the hometown of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of President Ho Chi Minh; Nghe An is the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh.

Located in the center of the Red River Delta, Hung Yen is one of the localities with rapid development. The average annual growth rate of GRDP in the 2011-2020 period is over 7.5%. In 2022, it increased by 13.4%, ranking 5^th nationwide; Budget revenue in 2022 reached 51 trillion VND. Culture - society has achieved many achievements, the province has completed the new-style rural construction program in 2020.

In the spirit of cooperation, openness, friendliness and mutual development in order to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13^th National Party Congress and the 2 Provincial Party Congresses, the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee informed a number of notable highlights about the socio-economic situation of Hung Yen province as well as the province's views on cooperation and mutual development with Nghe An province.

“We found that the two provinces have many similarities, many contents and fields that can be exchanged, shared and learned from experience, especially good and creative ways to build the Party and the political system; cooperation in economic, cultural and social development; cooperation in processing and consuming products; cooperation in attracting investment; cooperation in urban development and administrative reform, especially digital transformation," said Hung Yen Provincial Party Secretary.

Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia believed that the meeting, exchange of experiences and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two localities - the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh and his mother's homeland - will open a new chapter, elevating the close relationship, special affection between the Party Committee, the government and the people of the 2 localities; at the same time, open up many development opportunities, contributing to the overall development of the country.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy thanked for the warm and thoughtful reception of the Hung Yen Provincial Standing Party Committee for the delegation; congratulated the province on taking very solid steps in the right direction, achieving many achievements, becoming a fast and strong industrial province of the North, bright spot in the key economic triangle Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh.

After informing the leaders of Hung Yen province about the characteristics of the province in terms of natural, economic, cultural, social and development orientations, the head of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the signing and implementation of the cooperation program by the two provinces of Hung Yen and Nghe An is a practical, important and meaningful job. This is an important milestone to further tighten the close feeling, close relationship and good support between the Party Committees, Government and people of the two provinces.

The cooperation contents will be an important basis for all levels and branches of the two provinces to organize and implement, thereby maximizing the potential and advantages of each locality and supporting and promoting each other for mutual development.

In particular, Nghe An has the conditions to consult and learn from Hung Yen's successful experience in attracting investment, developing industrial parks, developing enterprises; new-style rural construction; Party building and political system building, etc.

After discussion, on behalf of the Provincial Standing Party Committees of the two provinces, Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Nghe An and Hung Yen provinces for the 2023 – 2025 period, focusing on 5 contents: Exchanging experience on Party building and political system; cooperation on cultural development and tourism; cooperation in the development, production, processing and consumption of products; cooperation in investment attraction and urban development; cooperation in digital transformation, administrative reform, etc.

Thereby, strengthening, consolidating and developing the special friendly cooperation relationship between the Party Committees, Governments and peoples of the two provinces; promoting the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity, special affection and attachment; jointly developing in order to successfully implement the Party Congress’s Resolutions of the two provinces and contribute together with the whole country to implement the Resolution of the 13^th National Party Congress.

At the conference, Hung Yen province donated 2.25 billion VND to support the construction of 45 houses for poor households in Nam Dan district (Nghe An); Leaders of the two provinces also presented souvenirs from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee./.
