State budget revenue for January 2026 is estimated at 3,176 billion VND
According to the report at the regular meeting of
the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) held on the afternoon of January 26,
2026, in January 2026, all levels and sectors focused on implementing the
Resolutions of the Government and the Resolutions of the Provincial People's
Council; summarizing the work of 2025 and implementing tasks for 2026;
preparing for activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026; and
especially, the 14th National Party Congress was successfully held (from
January 19-23, 2026).

Based on the
Provincial People's Council's resolutions related to the 2026 plan, the PPC has
issued decisions to implement them. To promptly implement Government Resolution
No. 01/NQ-CP, the PPC has directed specialized agencies to promptly advise on
the PPC's decision on the main tasks and solutions for socio-economic
development and the state budget estimate for 2026; including 5 key areas of
direction and management, 12 groups of main tasks and solutions, and 151
specific tasks assigned to departments, sectors, and localities;
simultaneously, developing growth scenarios for 2026 for each quarter and the
whole year; and establishing 5 working groups to direct and promote the
implementation of the plan and tasks from the very beginning of the year with
the highest spirit and determination.
The area
planted with annual crops in the 2025 winter season throughout the province is
estimated at 39,214.91 hectares, reaching 116.62% of the plan and 98.89%
compared to the same period last year. As of January 15, 2026, the area planted
with spring crops throughout the province is estimated at 21,432 hectares,
reaching 16.44% of the plan and 35.47% compared to the same period last year,
etc.
The Index of
Industrial Production (IIP) for January 2026 is estimated to increase by 20.62%
compared to January 2025; of which, mining industry increased by 30.69%;
manufacturing industry increased by 20.95%; electricity, gas, hot water, steam
and air conditioning production and distribution is estimated to increase by
14.21%; water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment activities are
estimated to increase by 5.96%.
Total retail
sales of goods are estimated at 13,588 billion VND, an increase of 8.26%
compared to the same period in 2025. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has
focused on monitoring the supply of goods for Tet (Lunar New Year); directing
supermarkets, shopping malls, and businesses involved in the trading and
distribution of goods to implement solutions to ensure a balance between supply
and demand and stabilize the market before, during, and after the Lunar New
Year. Export turnover in January 2026 is estimated at 390 million USD, an
increase of 44.3%; import turnover is estimated at 300 million USD, an increase
of 28.3% compared to the same period in 2025.
January 2026
features an extended New Year's holiday with favorable weather, attracting a
large number of locals and tourists to visit and experience tourist areas and
attractions throughout the province. Cultural and historical tourist sites
continue to record increased visitor numbers towards the end of the year. The
total number of tourists in January 2026 is estimated at 720,000, a 3% increase
compared to the same period last year, including an estimated 390,000 overnight
visitors and an estimated 10,000 international visitors. Total revenue from
tourism is estimated at 1,671 billion VND, of which tourism-related revenue is
estimated at 802 billion VND, a 10% increase compared to the same period last
year.
State budget
revenue is estimated at 3,176 billion VND, reaching 13.6% of the projected
target and equaling 97.2% compared to the same period in 2025. Of this,
domestic revenue is estimated at 2,900 billion VND, reaching 13.6% of the
projected target and equaling 91.6% compared to the same period in 2025;
revenue from import and export activities is estimated at 188 billion VND,
reaching 10.2% of the projected target and increasing by 101.2% compared to the
same period.
Regarding
public investment, for the 2025 plan, in January 2026, the Provincial People's
Committee continued to direct and urge the disbursement of public investment
capital. For the 2026 plan, in accordance with Resolution No. 69/NQ-HĐND dated
December 12, 2025, of the Provincial People's Council on the 2026 public
investment plan, the Provincial People's Committee allocated 8,784.811 billion
VND out of the 12,584.811 billion VND allocated by the Prime Minister (reaching
69.8%), with the remaining 3,800 billion VND (accounting for 30.2% of the total
plan) for the Vinh - Thanh Thuy Expressway construction project. The Department
of Finance has notified each investor of the 2026 public investment capital
plan for timely implementation.
The Steering
Committee for Key Projects in the province held its first meeting, and the PPC
issued Decision No. 4387/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2025, assigning tasks to
the Vice Chairmen of the PPC and the Directors of Departments and Agencies to
monitor, direct, and supervise each key project.
Regarding
investment attraction, in the month (up to January 23, 2026), the province
approved investment policies/issued investment registration certificates for 2
projects with a total investment of 36.34 billion VND, and adjusted 7 projects,
including capital adjustments for 3 projects with a total investment increase
of 41.63 billion VND. The total newly approved and increased investment capital
was 77.97 billion VND. Of this, FDI investment was newly approved for 1 project
with a total registered investment capital of 0.7 million USD.
International
cooperation and integration activities continued to be implemented effectively.
The education sector directed educational institutions to complete the first
semester review and implement the second semester plan for the 2025-2026 school
year. Medical examination and treatment at all levels continued to be well
organized. Research and application activities promoting scientific and
technological advancements are implemented regularly, synchronously, and
effectively. Departments, sectors, and localities focus on preparing well the
conditions for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse
in a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical manner. The work of implementing
policies for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and
ensuring social welfare during the Tet holiday is also carried out effectively,
etc.
The Nghe An PPC
has issued the Administrative Reform Plan for 2026; which requires agencies,
units, and localities to continue to innovate and improve the quality of
leadership, management, and implementation of administrative reform tasks with
the theme "Decisive action, tighten discipline, strengthen
innovation"... National defense, security, and social order and safety are
maintained.
