Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than held a working meeting with Sembcorp Group leaders in Singapore

On the morning of May 29, in Singapore, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Nghe An Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly - held a working meeting with Mr. Lee Ark Boon - CEO of Sembcorp Development and Co-Chairman of VSIP Group - to promote investment cooperation through the implementation of VSIP industrial park projects in the province.

The CEO of Sembcorp Development, Co-Chairman of VSIP Group, respectfully welcomes and thanks Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and the province of Nghe An for their strong support and assistance in the development of VSIP projects and for supporting secondary investors in VSIP industrial parks in Nghe An province.

Highly appreciating the cooperative relationship between Sembcorp - VSIP and Nghe An province since VSIP established its presence in Nghe An province in 2015, the CEO of Sembcorp Development, co-chairman of VSIP Group, stated that Sembcorp will continue to invest in the development of VSIP 4 and 5 industrial parks in Nghe An province, creating a solid foundation for the province's future development. Therefore, he hopes to continue receiving the attention and support of the leaders of Nghe An province.

The Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Khac Than, respectfully thanked the leaders of Sembcorp Group for welcoming and working with the delegation; and highly appreciated the investment and contributions of VSIP to the results of attracting FDI and socio-economic development of Nghe An province in the past.

Currently, VSIP has developed three projects with a total area of 1,430 hectares in Nghe An province. Today, the Investment Registration Certificate for VSIP Nghe An 4 will be awarded, and preparations are underway for the investment study of VSIP Nghe An 5, marking a step towards securing land for the next 5-10 years. VSIP's development model in Nghe An province will create an ecosystem, supported by the government, to facilitate the development and expansion of secondary investors in the province.

Of these, the VSIP Nghe An 1 project has been very successful with a 98% occupancy rate for the industrial park and is developing an urban and service area. The VSIP Nghe An 2 industrial park project has attracted 5 investors, and VSIP is continuing to actively attract more major investors. The VSIP Nghe An 3 industrial park project, adjacent to VSIP Nghe An 1, has already received commitments from several large investors.

The VSIP Nghe An 4 Industrial Park project is oriented towards a 2.0 industrial park model, a green industrial park model with advanced production technology and a priority on the use of renewable energy. The VSIP Nghe An 5 Industrial Park project, within the next 1-2 years, is also oriented towards developing a new generation 2.0 industrial park, with low carbon emissions and attracting environmentally friendly, high-tech industries.

The Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation stated that in recent years, Nghe An has been emerging as a bright spot in attracting FDI, and VSIP has played a very important role in this success. VSIP has contributed to improving the image and creating a very positive ripple effect regarding the province's investment environment, thereby attracting many secondary investors to Nghe An.

The plan projects that in 2025, Nghe An province's GRDP growth rate will reach 8.44%; and its FDI attraction ranking will be 11th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. In the first quarter of 2026, Nghe An's GRDP growth rate will reach 8.15%, within the province's operational scenario; and its FDI attraction ranking will be 2nd out of 34 provinces and cities.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than expressed his hope that in the coming time, VSIP will continue to cooperate closely with the government; pay attention to attracting large, high-quality investors to Nghe An province. In addition, he urged continued investment in building service and commercial infrastructure within industrial parks to make good use of land resources and create the best ecological environment and living conditions for workers.

Nghe An province is determined to build a transparent, open, and optimal investment environment, especially by completing strategic infrastructure such as deep-water ports, airports, and energy, thereby building a sustainable development community. Therefore, the province will continue to pay attention to supporting and creating the most favorable conditions for VSIP industrial parks to operate more effectively.

During the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Khac Than, and leaders of Sembcorp - VSIP Group discussed specific solutions regarding infrastructure and land clearance... to promote investment cooperation through the effective implementation of VSIP industrial park projects in the province.
