Provincial People's Committee works with Mitsubishi Vietnam Co., Ltd

On April 13, the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with Mitsubishi Vietnam Co., Ltd. Attending the meeting were Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, committees and branches.

On the side of the Company, there were Mr. Hidetoshi Suzuki - Chairman and General Director of Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. and members of the delegation.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Mr. Hidetoshi Suzuki - Chairman and General Director of Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. said: The company has its head office in Hanoi and a branch in Ho Chi Minh City. The main activities of the Company include: Developing new business lines; seeking and strengthening relationships with business partners; supporting activities of member companies; participating in contributing policy ideas to the Government and local authorities.

In addition to traditional business activities such as chemicals, food, infrastructure development, in recent years, the domestic business fields such as automobiles, elevators, building materials, garments, etc. have also been strongly developed by the Company following the momentum of economic growth. In the future, Mitsubishi Corporation aims to develop new projects in the fields of urban development, environment, food, etc.

As for the investment project to build an automobile assembly plant in Nghe An, Mr. Hidetoshi Suzuki said the company is considering to build.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh speaks

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh expressed his pleasure to welcome Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. to explore investment in Nghe An. Giving an overview of Nghe An province, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the province's potentials and advantages including large area, large population, abundant labor force; rich resources, large reserves; transport infrastructure system to connect and develop; technical infrastructure and other investment support services are invested and built synchronously; economic zones, industrial parks and industrial clusters; open investment environment, etc. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Nghe An has all the conditions for enterprises to choose to survey and learn about investment and production.

Reviewing the results of investment cooperation between Nghe An and Japanese enterprises, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh said that the province currently has 12 Japanese FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 97 million USD.

Nghe An is the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh and patriotic strong-willed scholar Phan Boi Chau - who went to Japan to study, work and laid the first bricks to build the foundation of Vietnam - Japan friendship. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished that the Company will have investment activities in the province, especially in the fields that the province has potential, advantages and needs. The province is always ready to provide, exchange information and support the Company in the process of researching and surveying investment in Nghe An; at the same time, always create the most favorable conditions for the Company to invest in an automobile assembly plant in Nghe An.

During the visit and work program in Nghe An, Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. awarded 1 billion VND to sponsor Minh Anh Center for Children with Autism. On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee would like to thank the company's social security activities for the province.
